Mining Sluice Adventure Tours
April 10th - June 13
Thursdays & Fridays
During our exciting Mining Sluice Adventure Tour, students will make their way to the Mining Sluice, a wooden water tower in which water runs through a series of troughs. Students will take their bag of mining "rough" and pour it into a sluice box. Each student will shift and shake their box, and the water will wash the dirt away slowly revealing their found treasure. After each student discovers their gems or fossils, they will be given an identification card to accurately identify exactly what they found. When the exercise is complete, students will keep their found treasure and the ID card to take home.

April 1st - June 1st
Thursday - Saturday: 10AM - 6PM
Sunday: Noon - 5PM
Trunnell's Spring Farm Experience includes activities to keep active toddlers happy, school-aged youngsters intrigued, and adults amazed.
We don't feel we've had a good harvest unless every family leaves with smiles on their faces, pleasant farm memories in their heads, and a little dirt in their shoes!

Mining Sluice Adventure Tours Reservations
Tours can be scheduled starting at 9AM and typically last 1-1/2 to 2 hours. The picnic area and the Farm Experience will be available immediately following your tour. You will have 30-40 minutes to use these areas before you depart. Don't forget that the Market will be open for your group to browse through.

Cancellations
Out of respect for other tour groups, and to maintain booking flexibility, cancellations need to be made within two weeks of the visit. If cancellations are not made within this time frame they are severely damaging in that another class is deprived of a trip. Therefore, cancellation less than 2 weeks in advance or "no-shows" will result in a charge of $75 plus no refund of the deposit already paid.
Cancellations need to be person to person. Messages left on voice mail are NOT acceptable. In case of rain, Trunnell's will make any cancellation decisions the morning of the trip. Please call that morning if you have any questions. If cancellation is due to weather, the above fee will be waived for all cancellations, and Trunnell's will be happy to assist in rescheduling your tour.
