School Tours: Educational Tours/ Field Trips
We're planting seeds of knowledge on the farm at Trunnell's Farm Market (located near Greenville, KY, Owensboro, KY, Henderson, KY, Newburg, IN, Evansville, IN). Agriculture is part of everyday living, although many students aren't aware of where and how our food gets to their table. We are a working farm producing crops such as corn, wheat, hay, and soybeans - as well as vegetables and pumpkins.
Our hands-on activities will show children about the lifecycle of crops. Students will leave with an understanding of how important agriculture is! Bring your class, preschool, scout troop, or youth group to Trunnell's and let them see for themselves how agriculture is a fun, interesting, and a vital part of life! They will never forget this absolutely "FRESH" experience.
Spring Planting Tours
This spring and summer, Trunnell's Farm Tours will be digging into the exciting world of farming! From planting seeds and learning about bees to our comprehensive lesson plans, we will educate and entertain your class.
Mining Sluice Adventure Tours
Students will dig into an exciting mining adventure! They’ll pour their mining “rough” into a sluice box, sift and shake as water washes away the dirt, and uncover hidden gems or fossils. With an ID card, they’ll learn what they found and take home their treasures. Choose from Gem Mining or Fossil Mining!
Sunflower Harvest Tour
Students will explore a vibrant field of sunflowers with over 35 colorful varieties! From the moment they arrive, they'll enjoy a fun, hands-on farm experience, learning about the sunflower life cycle, honeybees, and more—all while having a great time.
Fall Harvesting Tours
This fall, students will dive into the fun of harvest season at Trunnell’s Farm! From picking pumpkins to learning about pollination and farm life, they’ll enjoy a hands-on experience that’s both educational and exciting. Come experience the harvest!

Trunnell's Spring Farm Experience includes activities to keep active toddlers happy, school-aged youngsters intrigued, and adults amazed.
We don't feel we've had a good harvest unless every family leaves with smiles on their faces, pleasant farm memories in their heads, and a little dirt in their shoes!
